How to Delete Your CrushOn AI Account and Remove Your Data
CrushOn AI account deletion is a two-step process that most guides simplify incorrectly. Step one is cancelling your subscription. Step two is requesting account deletion. Doing them in the wrong order — or skipping step one — risks being charged after your account is gone. Processing takes approximately 48 hours. Here is the complete procedure.
Step 1: Cancel Your Subscription First
Before requesting account deletion, cancel any active paid subscription. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are handled by separate systems — deleting your account does not automatically terminate the billing relationship at the payment processor.
Cancel subscription steps:
- Log in to crushon.ai
- Open Account Settings (click your profile icon)
- Go to Subscription or Billing
- Select Cancel Plan or Manage Subscription
- Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation
- Save the cancellation confirmation. Take a screenshot of the confirmation page and keep the confirmation email — you may need this as evidence if a disputed charge appears later.
Cancellation stops future billing. Your current plan access remains active until the end of the paid period.
Step 2: Request Account Deletion
CrushOn AI processes account deletion through a support request, not a fully automated self-service button.
Via account settings (preferred):
- Go to Settings → Account
- Look for "Delete Account," "Close Account," or similar
- Follow the prompts — typically a confirmation step and optional reason
- Submit the deletion request
Via email support (if no in-app option):
Send to the support email (found in Settings → Help or Help Center):
Subject: Account Deletion Request — [your registered email]
Body: "Please permanently delete my account and all associated data. My registered email is [email address]. I have already cancelled my subscription."
GDPR/CCPA formal request (most thorough data removal):
If you are an EU resident or California resident, state this explicitly:
"I am submitting a formal data deletion request under the [GDPR / California Consumer Privacy Act]. Please delete all personal data associated with account [email address] and confirm completion in writing."
Legal requests carry more procedural weight and typically result in more complete data removal.
What Happens After Your Request
- Timeline: Approximately 48 hours for account deactivation after request processing
- Access removed: Account becomes inaccessible; login attempts will fail
- Published characters: Characters you published to the community library may be removed as they are linked to your account
- Confirmation: You should receive an email confirming deletion
- Data retention: Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes (billing records for tax law requirements; aggregated anonymized analytics)
Post-Deletion Checklist
After receiving deletion confirmation:
- Monitor your payment method for 1-2 billing cycles for unexpected charges
- If a charge appears after confirmed deletion: contact CrushOn AI support immediately with your deletion and cancellation confirmations; contact your card issuer if the platform does not resolve within a reasonable period
- Delete any locally saved app data (Android: Settings → Apps → CrushOn AI → Clear data, then uninstall)
Frequently Asked Questions
Approximately 48 hours from when the support request is processed. During high-volume periods, processing may take slightly longer. If you have not received confirmation within 3 business days, follow up with support.
Standard terms do not include prorated refunds for unused subscription time. Monthly subscriptions: your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period after cancellation. Annual subscriptions: typically no prorated refund — verify current refund policy before annual purchase if this matters to your decision.
Generally no — account deletion is intended to be permanent. If you think you may return to the platform, consider simply stopping use and cancelling your subscription rather than fully deleting. However, if data removal is your goal, full deletion with a GDPR/CCPA request is the appropriate path.
Account data, profile information, and personal data should be deleted per the request. Billing/transaction records are typically retained for the period required by applicable tax law regardless of deletion request. Aggregated anonymized usage data that is not linked to your identity may be retained. GDPR or CCPA requests require the company to confirm specifically what has been deleted and what has been retained and why.
